about

Together again for the first time! Leeds based audio spaghetti hurler Territorial Gobbing and Nottingham located sad-lad feedback botherer BLACKCLOUDSUMMONER enter the ring for three rounds of collaborative tag team action. A sentient cloud of living jigsaw pieces and a puddle of weird sticky black liquid that smells of burnt hair walk into a bar. Every hairdryer that ever existed cries out in joy. Sit back, relax, put your shoes on your head and make dolphin noises. It’s ok, you are one of us now. (Andrew Jadowski)

Harsh noise artist Blackcloudsummoner and surreal-aggro improvisationist Territorial Gobbing make some of the most confrontational and, at times, hard to sit through sounds in the UK underground. Now the two have teamed up to create Heavier Than A Desk In The Factory, a noisy three song tape notable above all for its embattled stretches of melodic calm. There’s plenty of screeching feedback, gibbering vocals, and schwhip-schwap tape manipulation, but there are also soothing sea and nature sounds, melodic wind instruments, and peaceful drones. The tape is an unsettled movement back and forth between contentment, unease, and aggression, the pretty parts continually under threat of interruption and the harsh parts giving rise to snippets of melody. You’re dirty. Let Heavier Than A Desk In The Factory give your mind a good soak and a scour. (Nate Holdren)
