Prolific Nottingham-based noise artist BLACKCLOUDSUMMONER returns with a barbed-wire and broken glass bouquet. On a first listen, especially if noise music is new to you, you’ll notice scrapes, squeals, shrieks, static. Those acerbic and abstract sounds are arranged, however, in a way that expresses complex emotions, above all restlessness, frustration, and longing. This is a sound of something that needs to break apart but can not, and of fragments that crave coming together to form a whole, but again, can not. They do so at ear-splitting frequency - and are best played at very high volume - because to live through those emotions is to be in the grip of forces that feel larger than life. Aggressive, yet introspective, yet epic: BLACKCLOUDSUMMONER.
